EXCAVATION
The benefits in choosing R.W. MILLER & SONS, INC. to do your excavation for your project cannot be underemphasized.  Excavation in general and excavation in preparation for paving are two decidedly different things. "Plus or minus" in inches is a common term with most excavation contractors BUT- when you are talking about just inches in finished paving thickness, you realize how important it is to have extremely close tolerances in the finished grade.  The subgrade (soil) deserves the same amount of attention.  Would having less that the agreed upon thickness of base material be acceptable to you as a project owner? Not with us either.  By starting with good excavation techniques, grading and paving fall in line much more efficiently and productively.
